Karo Kindermann is an IICP coordinator. She is currently working on her Master's Thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Austria. She is analysing the relationship between traditional ways of presentation, perceptions and dramaturgy in myths and media and their influence on the patterns of thought and act, and subsequently their constructive and deconstructive influence on conflicts. In this context, she is researching the conflict situation in Northern Uganda.

Karo studied Philosophy and Theater Studies and has a degree in fine arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.

She has attended the International Summer Academy in Stadtschlaining. In 2004 she participated in the International Academy for Conflict Resolution - COMPAIR. During this period she continued to study theatre pedagogy and co-organised an intercultural theatre group in Vienna.

From 2005 to 2007 Karo worked in socio-cultural projects focusing on participative models for the "Interesse-gemeinschaft Kultur Wien" (an umbrella association for socio-cultural organisations in Vienna) and was engaged in the "camp-project" for coordination and research at the "labfactory" in Vienna.
