Augustin Nicolescou is the IICP's project manager and researcher. He recieved his B.A. in Political Science from McGill University and his M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies from the European University Center for Peace Studies in Austria. Since 2005, he has been the coordinator of the IICP's peace support work in Sri Lanka.

In his MA thesis, he examined the role of social constructions of network, norms and trust as enabling factors for the achievement of basic needs and ensuring the peaceful transformation of conflicts.

Augustin is currently writing his doctoral dissertation at the University of Vienna's Department of Political Science.
