Augustin Nicolescou is an IICP associate since April 2011. He was previously the project manager and researcher at the IICP from 2005 to April 2011. He recieved his B.A. in Political Science from McGill University and his M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies from the European University Center for Peace Studies in Austria. From 2005 - 2011, he was the coordinator of the IICP's peace support work in Sri Lanka.

In his MA thesis, he examined the role of social constructions of network, norms and trust as enabling factors for the achievement of basic needs and ensuring the peaceful transformation of conflicts.

Augustin is currently writing his doctoral dissertation at the University of Vienna's Department of Political Science.
